Sports Minister's chief Driver, Godwin Njor retires, showers encomium on former employers

Chief Driver to Nigeria’s Minister of Sports Development, Mr Godwin Aju Njor, has retired from his role as Chief Driver to the Honourable Minister, Sen. John Owan Enoh.

Godwin who has been with the former lawmaker since 2002, in a statement, expressed his gratitude to Sen. Owan for his support throughout his years with him.

He wrote; I am excited and filled with gratitude and appreciation for His Excellency, Distinguished Senator John Enoh Owan, Mrs. Rachel Enoh Owan, the entire family of Owanified, and all my friends and family. I, Godwin Asu Njor, would like to announce my retirement as the chief driver to Senator John Enoh Owan, effective April 30, 2024.

I started working as a driver in 2003, and it has been 21 years since. I have only positive memories to cherish, and I appreciate all the blessings granted to me and my family by my Principal and wife. By the Grace of God, I was able to build a 4-bedroom house, sponsor my son Asu Eric to his first degree, and receive other financial grants. My Principal and wife also blessed me with a Sharon car and the sum of 5 million naira as my retirement package.

I appreciate all the professional opportunities I have been given throughout my 21 years of working. It has truly been an honor working with Senator John Enoh Owan. I am excited to begin my new life, free to engage in my agricultural resources and create a niche for my future and children.

I wish the best to Senator John Enoh Owan, his wife, the Honourable Minister of Sports Development, and the rest of his family in the coming years. Once again, I thank you very much.

Yours truly,

Godwin Asu Njor
