PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT FROM CROSS RIVER STATE GOVERNMENT MINISTRY OF LANDS

THE PRINCE OTU LED ADMINISTRATION IS AWARE OF PARCELS OF LAND ALLOCATED TO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC AT THE DIGITAL LAYOUT BY THE IMMEDIATE PAST ADMINISTRATION.

It is noticed that many of the allottees have not paid the prescribed land charges/fees as demanded of them and contained in the letter of offer of land.

This attitude of the allottees is seen as a deliberate attempt to defraud Government.

The Ministry of Lands, by this announcement wishes to inform all allottees and developers of land at the Digital Layout (Water Board) that the State Government frowns at such actions.

Allottees will recall that the previous administration had on several publications and Press Release reminded beneficiaries to pay up all outstanding debts on all Government layout but to no avail.

In view of the above, allottees are given One (1) Month from the date of this announcement to pay all land charges/fees owed in all layouts and evidences of payment be presented to the Ministry through the Director/Secretary Land Use and Allocation Committee for documentation.

_*All defaulting allottees shall be prosecuted and land revoked._

_*Secondly, any development without official approval by the Town Planning will attract demolition._

Take note that blocks of flats or apartments for commercial purpose or rentage are not allowed in the digital layout.

Please take this information as very important and comply accordingly to avoid being prosecuted.

Signed

Chief Francis Ekpenyong,

Commissioner for Lands,

Cross River State.
